MicroLife Institute and Roots Down present an in-depth, 90-minute tour of our pilot project, the Cottages on Vaughan, and the nearby Fruitful Communities hub at the Clarkston Community Center. Beginning on the hour, enjoy an introductory lesson on micro spaces, the design principles behind "pocket neighborhoods," and the concepts behind the site's unique climate resilient landscape. Participants will be led on a guided tour through the Cottages, where they will get to chat with the homeowners and get a firsthand feel for living in a micro home! Then take a short walk through historic Clarkston to the Community Center for a tour of the brand new Fruitful Communities hub, a unique 43K sqft landscape that combines a powerful mix of food production, environmental education, and land stewardship.
