HOPE SPRINGS TOWNHOMES

SUPPORTING SUCCESSFUL FAMILIES

With funding provided by a grant from the Georgia Office of Planning and Budget, MicroLife is partnering with Georgia-local nonprofit Hope Springs Housing in the Hammond Park neighborhood of Atlanta to provide housing and support for women coming out of incarceration for nonviolent offenses to reunite with their children in a safe and supportive community.

About the Project

MicroLife Institute and Hope Springs Housing are constructing 10 homes in Atlanta to provide a home for women to reunite with their minor children from foster care while the family receives intensive case management and supportive services on the path to self-sufficiency.

Introducing Our Partner,
Hope Springs Housing, Inc.

Hope Springs Housing, Inc. was founded in 2022 as a 501c(3) nonprofit organization to provide stable housing for women who are re-entering society after incarceration to allow for reunification with their dependent children. Hope Springs Housing aims to create the housing inventory needed to support the mission of community partners.

About the Design

As with all of our housing developments, the Hope Springs Townhomes were designed to foster community through the built environment. The site features common green spaces that can be enjoyed by the resident families.

MicroLife plans to break ground on this development in spring of 2024.

How We Got Here

As two non-profits focused on providing accessible housing, MicroLife Institute and Hope Springs Housing decided to come together to combine our talents. We hope to create a meaningful project that will keep families together, as well as make a lasting impact on housing within the community.

In 2022, we applied together for funding and were awarded $2.75 million from the American Rescue Plan and the State Fiscal Recovery Fund by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp.
