Abe Kruger
Abe Kruger honed his expertise in sustainable construction over the last 19 years as a contractor, educator, and consultant in the residential construction industry.
He is the cofounder of SK Collaborative, which provides consulting, design reviews and charrettes, training, and building certification under LEED for Homes, EarthCraft, ENERGY STAR, the National Green Building Standard, Fitwel, and Enterprise Green Communities.
SK Collaborative has delivered testing and certification services for more than 41,000 apartments and homes, with nearly 40,000 additional units currently underway. They have completed projects across 20 states, US territories, and countries.
He is the coauthor of the first residential green building textbook, Green Building: Principles and Practices in Residential Construction (Delmar/Cengage Learning). He is also one of the principal authors of the LEED Reference Guide for Homes Design and Construction (LEED v4). He serves on the Board of Directors for RESNET and the Atlanta-based Wylde Center.
